We’re very pleased to announce the first ever Australian Science Hack Day, to be run in Brisbane on March 17-18, 2018.
Apologies for getting your hopes up about our aborted attempt to run the first SHD in Australia in 2017. (Lots of contributing factors for that but we want to get it right!)
But now we are back on, still at HSBNE (Hackerspace Brisbane) in their amazing facility with more making and fabrication facilities than you could hope for.
If you want to get the very occasional updates we’ll send a notification of when registration opens, sign up for the (totally non-spamming) list here.
And if you’d like to join our fun, diverse, interesting, enthusiastic organising team, drop David an email. You don’t need to have anything particular skills beyond enthusiasm for science, even if you’ve never studied science beyond some stuff in high school! But you’re also welcome if you are a faculty member in a university science department. We want scientists, science enthusiasts, coders, makers, artists, designers, and interesting people of all stripes.
We’re hoping you can join us for the event!
